Job Summary
The Graduate Research Assistant will develop ML/AI-driven socio-computational models to analyze video-based social media data including content and network analysis. Responsibilities include conducting research using machine learning on social media, analyzing online information environments, data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, writing research findings, and presenting at various venues. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have extensive knowledge of R or Python, data analysis libraries, and machine learning models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Regular admission to a graduate degree program or good standing with the Graduate School for continuing graduate students
- Ability to work 20 hours per week (FT-50%) or 10 hours per week (PT-25%) with regular attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with graph theory and graphic libraries such as Gephi or NetworkX
- Experience with crawling web data
- Familiar with UNIX-based systems such as Linux
Additional Requirements
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
