Job Summary
The Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisors are experts who provide make-up applications, skin care consultations, and treatments while selling the totality of our assortment both in-store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, delivering outstanding service and product knowledge, maintaining compelling merchandise presentation, and driving sales through in-store and online client engagement. Responsibilities include creating an in-store easy and engaging shopping experience, embracing technology to enhance sales, participating in merchandising and operational duties, offering up-to-date trend guidance, and ensuring customer needs are met with a friendly, engaging demeanor. Key activities include conducting makeup lessons, skin care consultations, and making product recommendations, maintaining store presentation, processing transactions at the cash register, and supporting flexible scheduling across day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous selling experience is required, preferably in cosmetics
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
