Job Summary
The Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic Beauty Advisor provides in-store and online client services, offering make-up applications, skin care consultations, and expert, up-to-date trend advice. Responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, driving sales, preserving compelling merchandise presentation, and supporting merchandising and operational requirements. The role requires delivering an engaging, friendly customer experience, leveraging technology and product knowledge, and promoting the total assortment while accommodating a flexible schedule. A High School Diploma or equivalent and prior selling experience are required; proficiency with computers and register transactions, plus physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs, are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous selling experience is required
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
