Job Summary
Develop, test, and refine cosmetic and skincare formulations for facial treatments, serums, cleansers, and masks. Conduct stability and compatibility testing while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, GMP standards, and state licensing requirements. Source raw materials and scale formulas from bench-top to full production batches, collaborating with packaging and manufacturing teams to maintain formula integrity. Maintain detailed documentation including batch records and safety data sheets, and troubleshoot production issues related to ingredient performance. Support new product development timelines in partnership with leadership as a founding member of the lab team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation
- Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA cosmetic regulations
- Must be able to commute to corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN at least 1x month
Desired Qualifications
- Experience scaling formulations from R&D to commercial production
- Existing relationships with raw material suppliers and ingredient houses
- Experience in a private label or contract manufacturing setting
