Job Summary
Setup, adjust, and operate two of three corrugator styles (JCEM & AV) and related production operations, including compression, without assistance for corrugator setups. Adjust pleat height, blades, and feed guides; load material, run initial dry runs, and verify materials for first-piece inspection. Meet pre-established production rates while producing products meeting quality, drawing, and routing requirements. Check first pieces and work during operation, adjusting to ensure logs and packs meet specifications. Recognize detailed quality deficiencies such as looping, over-compression, and broken wires. Complete DIR, material log sheet documentation, and all other process documents as required. Access and enter information via computer terminal efficiently. Work Monday through Thursday, 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with routine overtime.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of complex production experience
- Proficiency using basic shop math including decimals and fractions and US standard measuring system
- Understanding of diameters and radius
- Ability to correctly use basic measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators and scale
- Two years of experience using basic hand tools
- Ability to interpret drawings, routings, sketches, and work orders
- Ability to know when and how to adjust setup during operations
- Prior experience working with and mixing chemicals
- Ability to work overtime as assigned
- Ability to bend, lift, sit, stand, and twist for long periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
- Daily Light to Moderate Physical capability (frequently lifting or moving 5 to 25 pounds from three to six hours daily or frequently lifting or moving 30 pounds)
- Ability to work with and mix solvents, oils, and other chemicals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing preventative maintenance
- Experience following environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents
