Corrosion Operations Technician I/II/Senior/Lead

Job Summary
Install, operate, and maintain cathodic protection systems, rectifiers, and remote monitoring units while performing annual surveys, test point checks, and interference tests. Conduct periodic inspections on pipelines and compressor stations, collect corrosion coupons and gas/liquid samples, and troubleshoot electrical issues to develop corrective action plans. Interpret technical manuals and specifications, assist on compliance projects, and advise engineers on corrosion control design needs. Maintain accurate records for regulated facilities and operate a company vehicle for travel to various field locations. Complete required AMPP CP1 certification and Operator Qualification training within one year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related technical experience, such as natural gas, compression, instrumentation, controls, electrical or other technical fields
- Valid Driver's License and able to operate a company vehicle
- Successful completion of AMPP Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) within one year of hire
- Successful completion of applicable Operator Qualification training
- Basic knowledge of computer software packages and equipment
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and electricity
- Basic knowledge of CFR 49, Part 192 and/or Part 195
- Ability to pass a physical capabilities test (which includes but is not limited to lifting and carrying 70 lbs., walking 1/2 mile at various inclines, etc.) necessary to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the essential functions of this job
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel to various operating locations as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in electronics, or vocational certification in Electrical/Electronics
- Experience in natural gas or hazardous liquids
- AMPP CP 1 or higher
