Corrosion Engineer

Job Summary
Collect data from design specifications, inspection, and historical files for pressure vessels, piping, or storage tanks. Perform corrosion research including internal/external corrosion rates, mechanism evaluation, and environmental crack analysis. Develop and maintain Corrosion Control Documents (CCD) while assessing damage mechanisms for inspection and maintenance audits. Conduct root cause analysis of leakage and VOC escape issues to drive improvement suggestions. Participate in RBI assessments, systemize PFDs, and audit PSM operations including management of change and process hazard analysis. Analyze plant corrosion/crack problems and provide actionable improvement recommendations. This onsite role in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, supports Taurus Industrial Group's end-to-end technical services across Engineering, Infrastructure, and Specialty Services divisions.
Required Qualifications
- BS or higher degree in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related majors
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations and applicable industry organization standards and recommended practices (e.g. ASME, API, NACE, ASTM, ANSI)
- Hold or be able to get certificates of API 510, 570, 571, and 653 within 3 years
