Corrective Maintenance Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate assigned Technical Support Network (TSN) subcontractors during work periods to ensure completion of maintenance activities with required quality and environmental safety. Review maintenance instructions for completeness, oversee service provider work, and compile Work Item closure reports for entry into the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS). Manage special tools, test equipment, and materials while ensuring subcontractors have necessary paperwork and compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Assist Ship Maintenance Leads in generating reports, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and tracking resolution for operation deficiencies. Update onsite Worker Access Management System and maintain accurate records for the Service Delivery Team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year technical program diploma offered by a recognized technical institute
- University Degree
- Certified as a technician by a recognized provincial licensing body in a relevant field marine field
- Certified as Navy QL 6 and above for technical trades of the RCN
- Minimum two years of previous experience working within the Military or a Industrial Contract or Project
- Experience within procurement, project management or operations
- Project experience interfacing between internal/external stakeholders
- Must meet all federal government requirements to access Canadian government facilities, including naval dockyards
- Must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Must be able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance
- Must be able to undertake inspections, including confined space entry, on Naval ships involving bending and twisting
- Tasks may also requiring working at heights
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within procurement, project management or operations
- Minimum two years of previous experience working within the Military or a Industrial Contract or Project
- Experience with the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), or comparable document management system
- Experience working in SAP, or comparable Enterprise Resource Planning or Asset Management software
- Previous experience in ship-refit and repair activities
- Occasional domestic or international travel
