Correctional Officer - Sergeant

Correctional Sergeant responsible for security, operation, and overall management of the Lincoln County Jail during an assigned shift, serving as a working supervisor who both oversees Corrections Officers and directly performs officer duties. Duties include enforcing jail rules, supervising staff, directing work assignments, monitoring inmate activities, reviewing incidents and disciplinary actions, overseeing equipment and facility operations, managing inmate housing and visiting procedures, assisting with training and process improvements, coordinating prisoner transport, conducting disciplinary hearings, and ensuring on-duty medical services when nursing coverage is unavailable. Requires strong leadership, ability to manage multiple tasks, adherence to policies, and effective communication with inmates and staff. Location: Troy, Missouri. Travel and shift work may be required. Compliance with licensing, testing, and security protocols is essential.
