Job Summary
Correctional Officer role overseeing inmate supervision in living areas and recreation, coordinating inmate movements and counts, and providing emergency response. Works as control center officer, may perform mailroom, field tower, medical/security, and gate duties; supervises labor crews in kitchen and other areas; ensures prompt assistance for injuries or emotional trauma; prepares reports and daily logs; conducts disciplinary actions and contraband shakedowns; serves on special teams for response; performs additional duties as assigned to maintain security and facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of training courses and on-the-job training as required by facility training standards
- Experience in correctional setting is highly desirable
