Job Summary
Correctional Lieutenant at Indiana Women’s Prison oversees emergency preparedness training, manages staff and facility safety, enforces policies, and leads a team of sergeants and officers to ensure security and orderly operations. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE)
- 3+ years of experience in corrections, law enforcement or military law enforcement
- 1 year experience as a correctional supervisory or supervisory training in related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing to travel with reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work mandatory/voluntary overtime
- Ability to supervise and achieve desired results from offenders and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively, including giving clear directions
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow
- Ability to provide feedback or corrective action and develop employee skillsets
- Satisfy mandatory training including DOC Supervisory Training Program, First Aid and CPR
