Job Summary
Correctional Classification Specialist at Rockville Correctional Facility (Rockville, IN). Responsible for reviewing offender packets and recommending initial classification, conducting intake classification reviews, assigning final security and custody levels, finalizing Classification Hearing results, and serving as a designee to facilitate offender release duties, court order preparation, and Interstate Compact issues. Requires knowledge of the correctional release process, Indiana Department of Correction facilities, and ability to learn the Offender Management System; completion of related training offered by the Correctional Training Institute. A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency and at least 3+ years of experience in corrections, criminology, parole, or probation are required. Supervisory responsibilities over incarcerated individuals are included. Benefits package described.
