Job Summary
Analyst in Goldman Sachs’ Corporate Treasury, based in Hong Kong, focused on raising funding for the region, managing liquidity and capital, and optimizing the firm’s funding programs and capital base. Responsibilities include managing secured and unsecured funding programs (e.g., repo funding, structured notes, unsecured bond issuance), optimizing liquidity and inventory pools, assessing funding implications of new business initiatives, and coordinating currency funding with currency traders. The role emphasizes leadership in process improvements, collaboration across departments, and communicating insights to senior executives. Requirements include 1–3 years’ treasury/finance experience, strong analytical and data-interpretation skills (Tableau), knowledge of liquidity and capital requirements (LCR, NSFR, G-SIB surcharge), and strong English communication (Mandarin a plus). Thorough, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 1 to 3 years of working experience in Treasury or finance-related functions in a major financial institution or corporate
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to formulate problems, test hypotheses, and condense complex problems into plain language
- Experience managing and interpreting large amounts of data and analyzing output to identify trends and present solutions using Tableau
- Functional understanding of financial institution financial reports, as well as subsidiary liquidity and capital requirements such as LCR, NSFR, and the G-SIB surcharge
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to produce polished presentation materials for senior executives
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities
- Fluency in English is required; Mandarin competency is a plus
