Corporate Tax Manager

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end preparation and review of corporate tax returns, including CT600 filings and capital gains computations. Deliver expert guidance on tax-efficient structuring, group reorganizations, and international tax planning while ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and OECD BEPS standards. Conduct comprehensive tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, assess legislative developments, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders. Mentor junior professionals and partner with senior partners to design integrated tax strategies aligned with client objectives. Support business development by identifying growth opportunities and enhancing service offerings within a top-tier accounting practice in the South-East.
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification in Corporate Tax, including ACA, ACCA, CTA, or Chartered Certified Accountant status
- Experience in corporate tax within a reputable accounting firm, corporate finance function or tax advisory practice
- Extensive knowledge of UK corporation tax, including capital allowances, R&D tax credits, loss relief and group relief rules
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-value client relationships and deliver tailored tax solutions in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g. CaseWare, Thomson Reuters) and advanced Excel skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently and maintain precision under pressure
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evolving tax legislation
- High level of attention to detail, integrity and accountability in all professional responsibilities
