Job Summary
Manage tax compliance, reporting, and planning initiatives by coordinating filings, ensuring timely submission of all returns, and preparing financial statements. Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, and Finance departments to integrate tax considerations into financial reporting and strategic planning. Assist with quarterly tax estimates, tax research, and month-end close processes while monitoring compliance with filing deadlines and estimated tax payments. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Tax within Genstone, a holding company within The Fay Group offering property services and real estate investment solutions nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA licensure
- 5+ years' experience in corporate tax with a focus on tax compliance, audit preparation, financial reporting and planning, preferably in the mortgage servicing industry
- Experience with financial statement preparation, including consolidations and eliminating entries
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, CCH Axcess Tax)
- Strong skills and experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization
