Job Summary
Manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing while coordinating with Finance, FP&A, and external advisors. Prepare tax guidance for business initiatives, M&A transactions, and R&D credits, and oversee indirect tax compliance including VAT, GST, and withholding. Leverage ERP and tax technologies to enhance reporting analytics and process efficiency, ensuring accurate audits support across IRS and state jurisdictions. Work cross-functionally to integrate tax considerations into business decisions and communicate complex matters effectively. Based in Syracuse, NY, Orlando, FL, or Washington, D.C., this role supports Saab's defense and security operations with a competitive compensation range of $150,500 to $234,700.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA
- 7+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in industry or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate taxation, transfer pricing, and international tax concepts
- Experience managing tax audits and coordinating with external advisors
- Familiarity with ERP and tax systems (e.g., Oracle, IFS, ONESOURCE, CCH)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
- Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- MST, or other advanced tax credentials
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense or other regulated industries
- Experience supporting multiple legal entities within a centralized or global tax function
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of indirect tax and cross-border tax compliance
- Exposure to project-based or contract-driven business models
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams
