Job Summary
Senior Vice President Information Reporting & Withholding Advisor responsible for interpreting IRS guidance and advising JPMorgan’s businesses on US information reporting and withholding tax matters. You will partner with designated JPMorgan businesses to determine the impact of guidance on products and tax documentation, monitor new products/transactions, review language in initiative documents to ensure accurate information reporting requirements, meet with business and operations teams to maintain understanding of requirements, respond to internal inquiries regarding tax documentation and complex transactions, prepare and present training, comment on proposed regulations and industry issues, and guide year-end tax reporting (Forms 1099, 1098, 1042-S). Requires strong communication, broad knowledge of financial products, ability to explain complex regulations to non-tax professionals, project oversight, independent work capability, and the ability to build positive relationships with business units and the Information Reporting & Withholding team.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years US information reporting and withholding tax advisory experience
- Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written)
- Broad knowledge of financial products, including investment funds
- Ability to quickly grasp and explain complex business transactions/products
- Ability to oversee multiple projects
- Ability to synthesize complex regulations into terms easily understood by non-tax professionals
- Ability to build positive relationships with the businesses supported and Information Reporting & Withholding team members
- Ability to work independently
