Job Summary
Prepare, review, and file timely indirect tax returns (HST, GST) across applicable jurisdictions while reconciling reports and general ledger accounts. Support tax audits, respond to notices, and provide documentation to authorities. Maintain and update tax rates, codes, and rules; monitor legislative changes and assess their impact. Assist in indirect tax planning, compliance strategies, and process automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new business initiatives, product rollouts, and system implementations to ensure proper tax treatment. Document processes and maintain up-to-date indirect tax policies and procedures. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of indirect tax compliance experience, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance
- Solid understanding of indirect tax laws and regulations
- Strong Excel skills
