Job Summary
Conduct store opening and closing procedures, including arming alarms, balancing tills, and preparing daily deposits. Operate the POS system, manage transactions with integrity, and restock shelves and displays while tracking expiry dates on warehouse orders. Supervise staff by assigning break times, delegating tasks, and coaching to uphold company standards and visual merchandising. Collaborate with the Corporate Store Manager to manage labour schedules, resolve performance issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies. Maintain a clean environment and drive customer engagement to exceed service expectations. Work flexible hours Monday through Sunday, 35 hours per week, supporting Bulk Barn's goal of operational excellence across its expanding retail network.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or Equivalent
- 3 years' experience working in a retail environment
- 2 - 3 years' experience working under pressure, multi-tasking and managing time
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- 2 - 3 years' experience leading and supervising a team
- 2-3 years' experience servicing and resolving customer concerns
- Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgement and discretion
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Positive and customer service oriented
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, days and evenings, Monday through Sunday
- 35 hours per week
Desired Qualifications
- Handler and Food Safe Certification, an asset
- Standard First Aid Certificate, an asset
- Food Retail experience, an asset
