Job Summary
As the face of Carvana at the Tempe site, the Corporate Security Associate helps protect associates, visitors, and assets by enforcing ingress/egress protocols, conducting routine patrols, and executing incident response procedures. The role requires strong communication, active listening, and collaboration with Safe and Secure Team Leads/Managers to coordinate badge creation, CCTV review, and related security tasks. The position emphasizes delivering a service-first approach, de-escalation of conflicts, and adherence to Carvana values while promoting safety readiness and incident response. Training in life-saving measures (first aid, CPR, AED) and familiarity with CCTV, access control, and safety technologies are preferred, along with 1-2 years of security operation or related experience and proficiency with Google Workspace. The role is full-time and on-site in Tempe, AZ, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of strong decision-making in a complex environment
- Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships
- Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new software tools and internal digital workflows
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
- Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
- Requires frequent driving and computer data entry
- Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance
