Job Summary
Proactively solicits and grows local and national corporate transient accounts for Equinox Hotel New York, serving as the primary account owner with travel managers, procurement teams, executive assistants, and meeting planners. Negotiates rate programs and handles mini-groups up to 9 rooms on peak, identifying opportunities to convert transient demand into extended stay and small group business. Maintains forecasting, pipeline, and CRM integrity, collaborates with Revenue Management, Reservations, Front Office, and Operations, and represents the hotel at industry events to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability goals. Strong hunter mentality, outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and luxury hospitality experience will be considered
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years focused on corporate transient sales within a luxury, lifestyle, or upper-upscale hotel environment
- Proven hunter mentality with ability to generate new corporate business through prospecting and relationship development
- Strong understanding of corporate travel programs, procurement processes, and travel management companies (TMCs)
- Experience managing local and national corporate accounts, negotiated rate programs, and transient production goals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; fluent English
- Experience handling mini-group business (up to 9 rooms on peak) preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to structure and close corporate rate agreements
- Ability to conduct client site visits and hotel tours as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Delphi, Infor HMS, and Hotelligence (Agency360)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced market
