Corporate Safety Manager

Job Summary
Assist in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Partner with operations to build support for safety initiatives, audit assigned facilities, and drive accountability at all management levels. Lead safety, security advocates toward common goals of improving safety and facilitate corporate initiatives to ensure standardization and execution. Support investigations into accidents and near-misses, ensuring root-cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are identified and closed. Oversee safety data required by State and Federal agencies, coordinate training requirements, and develop systems for best practice sharing within sites. Work with Corporate Risk Management on applicable EH&S reports and interface with local regulators on audits and follow-up resolutions. Travel approximately 25% to 50% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety or related field
- 5+ years of experience with at least 3 years in warehousing/distribution facilities preferred
- CSP, CSHM or other certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, and EPA laws/regulations
- Power Industrial Truck Trainer (stand up, reach and sit down) required
- Excellent written and communication skills
