Job Summary
Corporate Quality Manager responsible for strategic oversight of the quality organization, aligning customer, supplier, program, and manufacturing quality. Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing and production requirements to meet customer needs and internal targets. Lead the development and enhancement of quality metrics and SOPs, ensure program timing and deliverables, drive tool/part approval readiness, and ensure compliance with QMS/ISO standards. Travel to customer locations for reviews/audits and collaborate across manufacturing, production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to implement robust quality strategies, risk assessments, and continuous improvement. Maintain confidential information with professionalism and lead internal and external audits, warranty management, and visit customer sites to strengthen relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in implementing and managing manufacturing quality management systems
- 5+ years leading and managing a manufacturing quality team
- Experience in new program pre-production, in process verification, launch, validation and production
- Direct experience in injection mold, precision machining, or tool & mold environment
- Working knowledge of SPC, GD&T
- Audits under IATF 16949 and ISO 9001; main point of contact
- Internal auditor certification highly desirable
- Problem-solving methodologies (8D, Red-X, Kaizen, Six Sigma) desirable
- Knowledge of world-class manufacturing or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Ability to travel to domestic and international customer locations for reviews/audits
- Knowledge of strategic continuous improvement, planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods
- Time management, detail-oriented, prioritization
- Adaptability and positive change management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools
