Job Summary
Oversee federal contracts and task orders to ensure successful execution of technical, scientific, and administrative requirements while monitoring performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Provide corporate leadership for multidisciplinary teams supporting research, environmental intelligence, and decision-support tools, including direct supervision of project managers, analysts, and scientists. Manage contract compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, financial reporting, and workforce planning while fostering collaboration between corporate leadership, federal clients, and subcontractors. Translate complex technical information into actionable insights for diverse audiences and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in the Maryland area
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Public Administration, Business Management, Program Management, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience managing federal contracts, programs, or projects
- Minimum of 4 years supervising professional, technical, scientific, or multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience supporting federal agencies, research organizations, or scientific programs
- Experience managing multiple contracts, task orders, and geographically dispersed teams
- Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, contract compliance, and performance management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
