Job Summary
Provide leadership and technical expertise for global process safety to achieve sustained safety performance improvements. Develop and refine process safety standards, including training, tools, and audit requirements for topics such as emergency preparedness, hot work, and management of change. Lead teams to facilitate hazard assessment reviews, including LOPA scenarios and reactive chemical scenarios, while reviewing and implementing assessment strategies for HAZOP and other methodologies. Review and provide guidance on process safety technology to mitigate risks in partnership with manufacturing and CAPEX teams. Lead incident investigations, review root causes for process safety incidents and near misses, and elevate learnings to prevent future occurrences. Co-lead internal process safety networks to coach SMEs globally and facilitate leader PHA reviews. Collaborate across global EHS, operations, engineering, and external stakeholders to drive EHS performance excellence and replicate best practices. Participate in external benchmarking to integrate novel techniques for sustaining EHS performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of process safety experience, global and/or site-level in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Desired Qualifications
- Process safety expertise in hazard assessment tools, programs to control risks of unplanned events (e.g. fires, explosions, chemical releases) and deep understanding of process technology and hazards
- Experience with global, regional (US, Asia, etc.), and/or state process safety regulations and risk reduction strategies for manufacturing facilities
- Previous experience in process engineering, design engineering or manufacturing
- Working knowledge and experience in one or more EHS professional disciplines (e.g. worker safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance)
- Master's degree or higher in an engineering, science or EHS related discipline from an accredited institution
- Certification(s) such as: Center for Chemical Process Safety Certification (CCPSC), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or related EHS credential
- High attention to detail, process-oriented, ability to develop and maintain good working relations with clients, ability to communicate (multi-lingual a plus) broadly, clear/concise writing ability and data documentation style, self-starter with the ability to multi-task
- Strong demonstration of project management skills and ability to manage activities and priorities within cross-functional teams to achieve targets and objectives
