Job Summary
Produce high-quality billable work product by calculating court deadlines, assisting with bankruptcy and foreclosure pleadings, and preparing quarterly fee applications. Correspond with clients and creditors regarding case issues while managing liens and processing legal or financial matters. Analyze corporate documents to determine jurisdictions for UCC-1 financing statements, tax liens, and litigation filings. Record real estate lien documents and search property records to identify ownership, easements, and existing liens. Review loan transaction documents to prepare, file, amend, and terminate UCC liens. This role requires at least three years of experience in commercial loans, real estate, and litigation, with a focus on foreclosures and bankruptcy. Candidates must possess superior communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a diverse case load independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in assisting attorneys through matters involving loans and loan documents including all phases of foreclosures, bankruptcy and litigation
- Possess the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse and high volume case load
- Candidates should also possess superior verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and confidentiality
- Understanding of federal, state and local rules of civil procedure
- Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or experience equivalent
- 3+ years of paralegal experience
Desired Qualifications
- Foreclosure, banking and bankruptcy experience are a plus
