Job Summary
Director of Marketing leads Grote Industries’ Marketing Department, translating business objectives into actionable strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and results within the heavy-duty vehicle OEM and aftermarket sectors. The role reports to the VP of Marketing and Sales, directs an in-house team (Graphic Artist, Copywriter/Social Media Specialist, Project/Events Manager) and coordinates external agencies to ensure high quality, timely outputs. Responsibilities include developing and executing the annual marketing strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth priorities, managing the global brand and governance across business units and regions, overseeing digital marketing initiatives (website, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, email, social media), analyzing campaign performance and ROI, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and other departments to produce technically accurate marketing materials and sales tools, leading new product introductions (launch planning, advertising, packaging, PR, sales enablement, customer communications), managing marketing budgets and external resources, directing corporate communications and public relations (press releases, case studies, white papers, media relations, thought leadership), and providing strategic leadership by monitoring market trends and reporting results to executive leadership. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (MBA or related master’s preferred), and a background in automotive, commercial vehicle, manufacturing, or industrial markets is preferred; professional certifications in digital marketing are desirable but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including strategic planning, brand management, digital marketing, product marketing, and campaign execution.
- At least five years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives, agency and vendor relationships, and marketing budgets is expected.
