Job Summary
Partner-level Corporate M&A Attorney needed in Greenwich, CT to establish and lead the firm's corporate M&A practice in Connecticut. The role focuses on driving client development, building a portable book of business, and leading all aspects of M&A transactions—from asset and stock purchases to mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures. Responsibilities include structuring and negotiating transaction documents, overseeing due diligence, advising on deal structure and regulatory considerations, collaborating across Tax, Employment, IP, Real Estate, and Litigation teams, meeting billable expectations, and mentoring junior attorneys while participating in firm leadership and business development.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing (New York admission a plus)
- 10+ years of concentrated experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactional law
- Demonstrated portable book of business and collected originations
- Strong professional reputation within the corporate and business community in Connecticut and the greater tri-state area
- Experience managing complex M&A transactions from letter of intent through post-closing integration
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills
