Job Summary
Provide secretarial support to attorneys in a corporate/transactional practice at a Downtown Los Angeles firm on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities include creating/editing/revising/proofreading documents, drafting internal/external communications, handling client/matter intake and engagement letters, processing expense reports and vendor bills, assisting with billing and prebills, managing attorney calendars and travel, coordinating with Word Processing/LAS/Ops teams, promoting efficient workflows with new technologies, and maintaining client/files governance per firm policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of legal corporate/transactional secretarial experience directly supporting transactional attorneys
- Familiarity with and strong working knowledge of legal terminology
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and various legal software applications (i.e. iManage, Litera ChangePro, ChromeRiver)
- Experience with timekeeping/billing software; experience with Aderant preferred
