Job Summary
Execute tests to monitor product quality per established methods and lab practices, logging samples and results in the Laboratory Information Management System. Maintain, operate, and validate instrumentation while following Standard Operating Procedures to report off-quality findings. Assist in coordinating routine and project sample testing, fulfilling customer proposal requests, and communicating special needs to other divisions. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma with college-level science and math coursework, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office. Physical demands include frequent walking, lifting up to 20 lbs, and working in a lab or plant environment. Darling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Successfully completed some college-level coursework in science and math
- Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience
- Prior LIMS experience
- A demonstrated ability to focus on and manage detailed methodologies in a multitasking environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
