Job Summary
Lead procurement, placement, renewal, and administration of the corporate insurance portfolio across commercial and specialty coverages. Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, adjusters, and consultants to optimize coverage and cost while overseeing budgeting, premium allocations, and audit reconciliations. Provide strategic insurance guidance to the COO, CFO, and senior leaders regarding coverage, claims strategy, and emerging risks. Serve as the internal lead for insurance claims, coordinating investigations, financial recoveries, site visits, and documentation in partnership with Legal. Review contracts and leases to ensure alignment with corporate standards and manage compliance documentation for lenders. Support acquisitions, development projects, and financing activities with insurance analysis and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressive experience managing commercial insurance programs for a corporation, insurance broker, carrier, or similar organization
- Demonstrated success managing complex insurance programs, broker relationships, and insurance claims
- Strong knowledge of commercial and specialty insurance lines, policy interpretation, contractual insurance requirements, and enterprise risk management
- Ability to analyze legal, financial, and insurance documentation and translate complex concepts into practical business recommendations
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and claims support
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Professional insurance designation such as CPCU, ARM, CRIS, or similar
- Bachelor's degree
- Ideally supporting commercial real estate portfolios
- Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology
