Job Summary
Qualified governance professional sought to join the Group Secretariat as Corporate Governance Manager in London. You will support the Head of Board Governance and Heritage, delivering end-to-end secretarial duties for group and subsidiary boards and committees, providing governance guidance to chairs and executives, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance, legal and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes skilled writing, stakeholder management, proactive delivery of governance outcomes, and the development of governance frameworks. CGI qualification, PLC experience, and strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, UK Listing Rules, and UK Corporate Governance Code are required; the role also involves coaching junior team members and contributing to governance strategy in a hybrid working environment.
Required Qualifications
- CGI-qualified with significant experience as a governance professional
- Experience within a PLC (public company)
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2006
- Knowledge of the UK Listing, Disclosure and Transparency Rules
- Knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Outstanding written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
- Ability to deliver board, committee and executive governance with high quality standards
