Job Summary
Corporate Financial Controller to lead all aspects of financial management for a Seattle-based energy company. Oversees accounting functions (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, bank reconciliations), budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, regulatory reporting, and year-end audits. Plays a key role in ERP implementation, internal controls, and coordination with external auditors; responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements compliant with US GAAP and IFRS; requires leadership, cross-functional collaboration with management, vendors, and banking partners. Requires strong accounting fundamentals, CPA and a minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in supervisory roles; knowledge of US and Canadian taxation; experience in multi-state/regulatory reporting and audit coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, CPA required
- Experience with project accounting
- Auditing experience
- Knowledge of the Canadian and US taxation systems
