Job Summary
Corporate Finance leadership role focused on SEC reporting and GAAP compliance. Responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and notes under US GAAP and SEC standards, coordinating annual audits with a Big Four firm, maintaining SOX internal controls and risk matrices, developing accounting policies for complex transactions including acquisitions, researching new accounting guidance, liaising with auditors and consultants, drafting technical memoranda, and ensuring accurate journal entries and tax considerations. Requires extensive experience in GAAP/SEC reporting, SOX, consolidation, and strong communication skills; CPA license and 10-15+ years in corporate accounting or similar with familiarity in NetSuite and AI tools for analytics. Office-based with a Monday-Thursday in-office schedule and remote option on Fridays.”,
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting is required
- CPA license is required
- 10-15+ years of corporate accounting or audit experience within the financial services industry
- Detailed understanding and experience with GAAP and SEC financial reporting
- Experience with SOX controls (performing or managing a SOX controls program or auditing controls)
- Experience with consolidation of financial statements
- Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred
- Proficient with Excel, Word and Power Point
- Familiar and competence in utilizing AI tools to drive meaningful results (CoPilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Able to manage large sets of data and implement checks and balances
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed oriented with big picture capability
