Job Summary
Lead a high-performing Facilities team by recruiting, mentoring, and establishing priorities to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with Branch Managers to maintain professional standards across all locations, prioritize safety issues, and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests while holding contractors accountable. Solicit bids, evaluate competitive proposals, and manage project schedules for facility improvements, conducting site visits to verify progress and quality. Oversee the Facilities work order system, track required inspections for regulatory compliance, and manage vendor relationships by reviewing invoices and approving payments. Maintain preferred vendor lists and organize critical facility records electronically.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction, facilities, or related industry
- At least 3 years of experience successfully leading and managing a team
- Proven track record of motivating, coaching, and developing employees while fostering a positive, high-performing work environment
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and occasionally high-pressure environment
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly, think critically, and make sound decisions independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel regularly to branch locations and perform related job functions
- Reliable personal vehicle available for business travel as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must complete a comprehensive background check
- Must undergo a physical examination
- Must pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Five to ten years of industry experience with a combination of office and field operations experience
- Experience managing multiple locations, coordinating facilities or construction projects, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
