Job Summary
Develop network engineering solutions for the Defense Logistics Agency's Enterprise Telecommunications Network, managing WAN lifecycle tasks from inception to conclusion. Design and implement IPv4/IPv6 protocols, MPLS, and BGP configurations while coordinating technology refreshes and upgrades for NIPR and SIPR systems. Generate design drawings, test plans, and After Action Reports to document approaches and results, ensuring interoperability across classified and unclassified networks. Lead laboratory assessments of hardware and software to maintain proper connectivity between DLA, NOC, and DISA networks, producing formal documentation for executive briefings. Support the full WAN lifecycle including design, implementation, installation, and transition to sustainment, with 10-25% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Secret Clearance with IT-I eligibility
- Active CCNP Enterprise
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification within 60 days after start
- DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Level III certification
- CASP+ CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- GCED
- GCIH
- Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience
- Deployment of WAN networks
- Deployment of a separate Pulse Secure Remote Access VPN architecture
- Tier II/III troubleshooting support
- Support the design and implementation of WAN equipment on the NIPR and SIPR
- Technology refreshes and upgrades
- Wireless technologies
- IPv6 transition
- Tier III network troubleshooting
- Provide network engineering services to support the full WAN lifecycle including design, implementation, installation, testing and transition to sustainment
- Analysis of hardware, hardware configuration, security policy, network management, network protocols and security solutions in support of network functions related to the interoperability of the LAN, WAN (NIPR & SIPR) and DISN
