Job Summary
Develop network engineering specifications and designs for DLA's classified and unclassified DISN Services, ensuring interoperability between NIPR, SIPR, and DISN equipment. Coordinate with Task Order PMs and government representatives to plan technology refreshes, generate design drawings, and produce After Action Reports. Implement WAN upgrades, manage IPv6 transitions, and perform laboratory assessments of hardware and software for both classified and unclassified networks. Create configuration artifacts including network maps, test plans, and maintenance procedures while providing tier II/III troubleshooting support. Work Monday through Friday on a hybrid schedule with 10-25% travel, requiring a Secret Clearance and CCNP Enterprise certification.
Required Qualifications
- Secret Clearance with IT-I eligibility
- Active CCNP Enterprise
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification within 60 days after start
- DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Level III certification
- CASP+ CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- GCED
- GCIH
- US Citizen
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience
- Deployment of WAN networks
- Deployment of a separate Pulse Secure Remote Access VPN architecture
- Tier II/III troubleshooting support
- Support the design and implementation of WAN equipment on the NIPR and SIPR
- Technology refreshes and upgrades
- Wireless technologies
- IPv6 transition
- Tier III network troubleshooting
- Provide network engineering services to support the full WAN lifecycle including design, implementation, installation, testing and transition to sustainment
- Analysis of hardware, hardware configuration, security policy, network management, network protocols and security solutions in support of network functions related to the interoperability of the LAN, WAN (NIPR & SIPR) and DISN
- Must be able to obtain Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification
- Must be able to obtain Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification within 60 days after start
- Must be able to obtain one of the following DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Level III certifications
- Must be able to obtain CASP+ CE
- Must be able to obtain CCNP Security
- Must be able to obtain CISA
- Must be able to obtain CISSP (or Associate)
- Must be able to obtain GCED
- Must be able to obtain GCIH
- Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance with IT-I eligibility
