Job Summary
Develop and prepare quantitative and qualitative analyses to support M&A evaluation and divestiture processes, including pro forma financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business valuations. Review and validate financial models and analytical tools while conducting industry and company-specific due diligence for potential transactions. Prepare communications materials and partner with functional teams to ensure modeling assumptions are accurate. Provide guidance to M&A analysts by reviewing outputs and maintaining oversight of team models and templates. Communicate with industry partners, bankers, and senior leadership throughout the transaction lifecycle. This onsite role requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of experience in corporate finance or investment banking, and advanced Excel, Power BI, and VBA skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in a professional corporate finance advisory functions, financial services, finance, accounting, management consulting, or investment banking
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to build advanced data sets and analyze data
- Ability to build advanced financial models for mergers and acquisitions and proformas
- Ability to effectively communicate and present data to internal partners at Regions
- Ability to effectively communicate and present data to senior members of the Corporate Development team
- Ability to effectively guide work of the M&A analyst on the team
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced Power Business Intelligence (BI) skills
- Advanced PowerPoint skills
- Advanced understanding of Corporate Finance concepts specific to Bank M&A
- Advanced Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) skills
- Moderate understanding of accounting concepts related to banking
- Moderate understanding of bank balance sheet and income statement
- Moderate understanding of how to analyze strategic value of M&A targets
- This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future
- Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week
- The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Advanced certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
