Job Summary

Corporate Development and M&A - North America leads the regional inorganic growth initiatives for the US and Canada. Drives the full M&A lifecycle with a primary focus on deal origination (~40%), transaction execution (~40%), and transition support (~20%). Serves as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and a key representative of the Corporate Development function, identifying acquisition, partnership, and investment opportunities to support Sonova’s growth. Leads transactions from initial opportunity assessment through closing, ensuring alignment between regional priorities and Sonova’s global growth agenda. Collaborates with regional business units, global Corporate Development, and senior management to accelerate activity, expand strategic footprint, and create sustainable value. Key responsibilities include pipeline development, strategic assessments, managing due diligence, transaction structuring and negotiations, governance, and cross-functional coordination. Candidate profile emphasizes a finance/economics/business education (MBA preferred), 10+ years of experience in M&A/private equity/investment banking, strong Excel/valuation skills, and an international, results-driven, collaborative leadership style. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience leading and executing M&A and strategic investment activities within multinational organizations, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development environments
  • Proven ability to originate, structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong business development capabilities with an established regional network and demonstrated ability to originate strategic opportunities
  • Experience with due diligence processes, financial modeling, and valuation analyses
  • Leadership and stakeholder management experience with senior executives (CEO/C-suite) across cultures and geographies
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional deal teams and manage relationships with investment banks, advisors, and target company leadership
