Job Summary
Provide day-to-day legal advice on worldwide general treasury matters, including cash management, investments, banking relationships, foreign exchange, and account documentation. Review, structure, draft, and negotiate complex arrangements for capital markets transactions, insurance programs, and Treasury special projects. Advise on state, federal, and non-U.S. regulatory implications while resolving issues in existing commercial and banking relationships. Navigate complex financial instruments and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment augmented by AI tools. Work directly with Treasury leadership, business legal teams, and outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- 7+ years of legal experience (including 3+ in a law firm), with experience in banking/finance or treasury-related legal work, and capital markets
- Experience with banking regulatory matters and drafting and negotiating banking agreements, custody agreements, or other financial services, as well as derivatives documentation (ISDA), or investment management agreements
- Familiarity with insurance programs, risk management, or captive insurance structures
- Experience working independently and navigating ambiguous, cross-functional environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and highest standards of ethics and professional integrity
