Job Summary
Lead the negotiating and drafting of acquisition contracts for e-commerce brands being folded into the unybrands portfolio, from letter of intent through diligence and transaction document execution. Draft, review, revise, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including warehousing, marketing, IT, licensing, and data-related contracts. Assist the General Counsel on equity and debt matters, manage outside counsel, and enhance existing policies and contract templates across the organization. Provide legal support for general corporate, compliance, and regulatory issues while collaborating cross-functionally to develop templates and implement processes on technology platforms. Qualified solicitor with 2+ years in M&A and commercial contract experience required; law firm and in-house background ideal.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or any other common law jurisdiction)
- 2+ years of experience as a legal counsel
- Experience managing M&A processes
- Experience drafting and negotiating M&A documents
- Experience drafting a variety of commercial contracts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment leveraging internal and external resources to meet simultaneous deadlines/demands
- Excellent research, writing, counseling and communication skills
- A positive client service orientation
- Ability to work independently, as a team member, and across the organization
- Accountability, sound judgment, and the ability to take ownership of an issue and provide concise and timely advice
Desired Qualifications

- Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills
- Experience with employment law
- Prior experience working for, or in, a high growth (start-up / venture capital) environment
- Experience with implementing a contract management system
- Creating and managing contract templates
- Training business partners on contract policy
- German language skills
