Job Summary
Corporate Counsel role responsible for providing legal and compliance support across contracts, IP, litigation support, and regulatory matters. You will manage enterprise legal requests, draft and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, advise on contract interpretation, ensure IP protection, support compliance initiatives, coordinate with outside counsel, and guide business partners on risk and regulatory issues. The role requires JD, Minnesota Bar admission, 2+ years of corporate/legal experience (3+ preferred), familiarity with FERPA/education law and IP, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a collaborative, business-minded partner mindset. Hybrid work arrangement with three days on-site at Jostens’ Minneapolis headquarters; up to 5% travel. Salary $110,000–$125,000 with annual bonus eligibility; comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Minnesota Bar Admission (active, in good standing)
- At least 2 years of corporate/legal experience (contracts, litigation, corporate law)
- Preferred 3+ years of varied corporate law experience or top-tier contract or litigation experience
- Familiarity with FERPA and education law
- Familiarity with intellectual property laws (copyright and trademark)
- Contract drafting, negotiation, and review skills
- Strong analytical and research abilities
- Ability to partner with business units and communicate legal risk effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Team-oriented and collaborative approach
- Attention to detail and high ethical standards
