Job Summary
Manage the Company's litigation portfolio and negotiate commercial agreements from inception through resolution, developing strategy with leadership and directing outside counsel. Draft, review, and maintain corporate governance documentation, licenses, and intellectual property while balancing business objectives with regulatory risk. Improve legal processes and workflows by leveraging AI and technology to enhance efficiency and reduce legal spend. Lead special projects and foster cross-departmental collaboration to achieve strategic initiatives. Requires an active U.S. bar license, six+ years of in-house or firm experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Approximately 6+ years' progressive experience as a practicing lawyer
- Experience as a practicing lawyer in a law firm
- Experience as a practicing lawyer in an in-house environment
- Experience managing litigation
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to quickly learn other software
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with employment litigation
- Experience with highly regulated industries, including gaming
- Experience using or implementing AI and other legal technology tools
- Ohio bar admission
- Candidates eligible for Ohio in-house counsel registration
