Job Summary
Provide legal counsel on export/import compliance, including ITAR, EAR, and sanctions for corporate and international subsidiaries. Conduct investigations, prepare voluntary disclosures, and respond to U.S. Government requests for information. Engage with federal agencies and manage interfaces with internal legal, global trade, and supply chain teams. Coordinate with outside counsel and industry partners while briefing senior management on significant legal risks. Requires a Juris Doctorate, 10+ years of defense trade law experience, and Top Secret clearance. Salary range $222,700 to $335,300. Falls Church, VA or Linthicum, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- Active state bar membership
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience
- Directly related, broad and in-depth experience in ITAR and EAR
- Experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Experience briefing senior management on matters involving significant legal exposure or risk to the Company
- Extensive experience managing and effectively prioritizing legal issues for operations and activities in multiple international jurisdictions
