Job Summary
Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide primary legal support on project finance and M&A transactions, along with contract negotiations. The role involves acting as legal lead on financing and acquisition transactions for solar energy projects, drafting and negotiating various legal documents, and coordinating diligence efforts. Qualified candidates will have a J.D., a minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant legal fields, and strong negotiation skills in project finance and M&A within the renewable energy sector.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from accredited law school and current license to practice.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Experience negotiating project finance (including tax equity) and M&A transactions in the renewable energy industry.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience negotiating construction agreements, procurement agreements and power purchase agreements in the renewables energy industry is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and business-oriented approach to resolving legal issues.
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and advise internal business partners appropriately.
