Job Summary
As Corporate Counsel, Commercial, you will serve as a key member of Axon’s contracts and corporate team supporting the global sales organization. You will structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts for sale of Axon’s goods, services and SaaS solutions, including licensing and IP considerations; provide risk analyses and recommendations; supervise Contracts Managers; maintain templates, language, and contract lifecycle processes; and collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Software/Hardware Engineering, Product, IT and regulatory teams to scale operations. The role requires legal counsel with a JD and bar admission, several years of experience in-house preferred, and a proactive, process-oriented mindset to support a fast-growing organization. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ or Boston, MA or NYC with a hybrid in-office schedule.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. and member in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts
- Experience negotiating intellectual property licensing and ownership agreements
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts including SaaS, hardware, and services
