Job Summary
Draft, edit, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across healthcare, biotech, and life sciences, including clinical projects, data licenses, strategic collaborations, and vendor contracts. Advise on novel legal issues at the intersection of healthcare and technology, specifically addressing artificial intelligence, large language models, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with internal business units to evaluate legal risks and facilitate business goals while managing general legal work in areas such as employment, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Work within a fast-paced, high-throughput environment supporting our mission to decode biological data and improve human health through genomic testing.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant healthcare transactional experience at an established law firm or an in-house role
- Strong familiarity with the healthcare regulatory environment, HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid payment issues, Stark regulation, fraud and abuse issues, and data privacy regulations
- Current bar membership in at least one state
- Ability to work at in a fast paced environment
- Impeccable judgment, including understanding how to properly evaluate and communicate legal risks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A great teammate who is willing to join supportive and collaborative colleagues
