Job Summary
Full-time on-site role focused on developing and delivering high-impact security training aligned with Emergency Management objectives. Responsibilities include designing and monitoring individualized learning paths for Security team members, facilitating instructor-led and blended programs, overseeing onboarding and training curricula, mentoring field trainers, maintaining SOP adherence, analyzing training data to identify gaps, coordinating with Learning & Development to implement improvements, organizing incident response exercises (including drills and AARs), and supporting year-round security awareness and preparedness initiatives. Requires experience delivering adult learning programs, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to be on call 24/7 during incidents, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and travel 25–50% of the time within Florida and to other Westgate properties.
Required Qualifications
- Security Instructor License or equivalent instructor certification
- Class D Security License with at least 3 years of supervisory training experience may be accepted in lieu of instructor certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with FEMA guidelines, OSHA regulations, and hospitality emergency planning standards
