Job Summary
Create monthly billable charges for designated patients and process claims, including follow-up, re-billing, secondary billing, and corrections. Manage the collection process for account balances and update patient file records while completing adjustment transaction forms. Maintain communication with home-clinic personnel and verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations to keep aging balances within acceptable collection standards. Perform multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to ensure receivables meet department standards.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in medical billing
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred, but not required
