Corporate Auditor

Job Summary
Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits of BCBSM, its subsidiaries, vendors, suppliers, Par Plans, and contractors to identify risks, test controls, and write reports. Lead or participate in divisional infrastructure projects and administrative initiatives to assess control environments within assigned budgets. Assist in developing the annual audit plan and educate employees on internal controls and business risk management standards. Facilitate management action planning workshops to prioritize issues and develop corrective action plans. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of auditing principles, Institute of Internal Auditors standards, and BCBSM policies. Travel to various locations across the state and to vendor sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or closely related field
- Four (4) years related work experience
- two (2) years of auditing experience
- Basic project management and operational/compliance auditing background

- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to effectively interface with operating management at all levels
- Ability to effectively interface with executive management of BCBSM, BCN, and DenteMax
- Ability to effectively interface with other Blues Plans
- Ability to effectively interface with external auditor (Deloitte and Touche)
- Must be able to travel to various BCBSM and subsidiary locations around the State
- Must be able to travel to BCBSA (Chicago)
- Must be able to travel to other Blues Plans
- Must be able to travel to vendor sites
